How to travel to Switzerland on Budget
We’re not only visiting top place in Switzerland but, also travel on budget. Here, we tried to manage only spend $500 on the week, and want to show you how to do the same. Switzerland is known as one of the most expensive countries in the world. It’s so expensive, it almost makes you mad but I promise the beauty is worth the money and if you have a chance you need to go to Switzerland at least once in your life, So, let’s start off with getting to Switzerland:
For flights, you can find cheap flights to Zurich or Geneva. I’ve seen anywhere from 400 to 500 dollars out of the states but often it can be anywhere from up to a thousand dollars. well, I recommend if the flights aren’t cheap it is to fly into a popular Airport within Europe such as; London or Paris. where the flights are fairly cheap and then from there buy a separate ticket to Geneva or to Zurich. you can get those for anywhere from like 50 to 100 dollars, once you’re there!
Now, you need transportation, the first option you can do is get the Swiss Travel Pass. the Swiss trial glass is awesome! it allows you to use the trains buses and boats all over the country. It also allows you to use gondolas for free and other gondolas for half price. So, for a three-day pass that gives you full access. it’s about $250 for an eight-day pass it’ll cost you four hundred and forty dollars. Not super cheap but it’s affordable, it’s a great option.
here is how to travel on a budget, second recommendation and the option that I would prefer and this is what I did is renting a car. You can get a car rental for fairly cheap; like right now there are about 250 bucks to rent a car for a week and what’s great is if you travel with a buddy you can split in half and it makes it pretty affordable. you’re free to go wherever you see some beautiful places and you don’t have to deal with the hassle of public transportation.
Hotels and Lodging
All right, now, we’re going to talk about lodging hotels in Switzerland are notoriously expensive. I did two prints in hardly any being on lodging, is I just slept in my rental car? all you need is a blanket, a pillow and some warm clothes and some water to like brush your teeth and stuff. You just pull up off the side of the road or find a nice little spot to camp for the night and just yeah you sleep. It’s awesome! because you wake up and you go. you’re not like spending time getting ready or whatever ! you just get up and go and it’s awesome. Obviously, I’d recommend it, it’s not the most glamorous thing but not too bad.
Another more comfortable option is; you can find Airbnb s. if you plan it right for about 25 to 100 dollars per person and the highest season, it might be a little more expensive than but that is affordable. And, if you’re with somebody, you can split that cost.
After lodging, were to talk about food; now, you don’t go to Switzerland for the food. you go there for the beauty. The food is so expensive there, it almost makes you mad like if you want a good meal at a restaurant it’s gonna cost you forty to sixty dollars. So what I recommend is: go into grocery stores and while most of the stuff is fairly expensive, there you are able to find good deals and stuff and there are a lot of things that are actually cheaper. Then, they are in the States like for example; chocolate. you can get a nice brown chocolate for $ 0.70. you can get a pound of pasta for a dollar to be able to make it. they also have pre-made pasta and salads for like two to three dollars, there are cheap things in the story. Just have to find it out but I would definitely recommend going to grocery stores.
